Ask an assistant to get you ready for a meeting and it will do a decent job of the public half. The company, the filings, the recent headlines. What it cannot reach is the part that exists nowhere but your own record: that you met their head of engineering at a conference two years ago, that she has moved since, and that you still owe her an introduction.
None of that is on the web. It is in the notes you wrote after the conversations you had, which is exactly why the assistant has to be able to ask you for it.
One address, and your own account on the other end
Relladex runs a remote Model Context Protocol server, so any assistant that speaks MCP can read your Relladex while you are talking to it. There is one address and it is the same for everyone:

In Claude it goes in Settings, under Connectors, as a custom connector. In ChatGPT on the web it is a custom connector too, once developer mode is turned on in Advanced settings, with OAuth chosen for authentication. Cursor, VS Code and the rest take the same address and the same sign-in. Nothing about the connector is specific to one assistant.
You then sign in with your own Relladex account and approve the connection on a page we show you. That page lists what the assistant will be able to read before you agree to anything, written as the things you would recognise from using the app rather than as scope strings, because a permission screen nobody can read is worse than no permission screen at all. Nobody can connect on your behalf, and the assistant only ever sees your account.
What it can read
Five things, and they are the five the consent page names:
- Your contacts, with names, roles, employers, work history and how you met.
- Your notes, meaning everything you have written about the people and companies you track.
- Companies you follow: the company records, the news collected for them, and financial results drawn from their filings.
- Your Insights conversations, the questions you have put to Relladex and the answers it gave.
- Your follow-ups, the reminders and suggestions Relladex has queued for you.
There is a broad search that looks across all of it at once and hands back a record to open, plus narrower tools for when you already know what you are after: one contact in full, the companies you track, a company's stored news, its banked financial results, your recent notes, what is pending.
Questions that need the record rather than the web
The useful ones are the questions a search engine cannot take at all.
Who do I know who used to work there? Employer matching covers every company in a contact's history, the ones they have left included, so a job change does not hide the person you actually met.
What do I owe anyone? The follow-ups Relladex drew out of your own notes are readable from the conversation, so the answer is the queue rather than your memory of it.
Where did I get to on this? Past Insights conversations are readable too, which means a line of thinking you started in the app can be picked up in the assistant without restating it.
And because the company figures come out of your own account, they agree with what you see in Relladex. A number found on the web very often does not, and being handed two different revenue figures in one afternoon is how you stop trusting both.
One tool writes, and only one
A finished piece of work can be sent back to your Relladex Capture, where it lands as an unassigned note you can read and file. Ask for a research brief or meeting prep and it arrives beside the people it is about.
That is the entire write surface. No tool changes a contact, edits a note or deletes anything.
What it will not do, deliberately
No tool can start a web search, a company crawl or an enrichment, which means connecting an assistant cannot spend your enrichments or your Rella tokens. Everything it reads was already collected before the conversation began. It reads the archive only, so a company nobody has ever opened in Relladex has nothing stored, and the assistant says so instead of guessing.
That is a limit somebody chose, not a feature that has not shipped yet. An assistant reaches for a tool far more readily than a person reaches for a button, and a bill should not be able to grow while something is thinking.
The connection is checked on every single call rather than once at the door, so access follows your account rather than the age of a token. You can disconnect whenever you like, from the assistant or from Relladex settings, and revoking takes effect immediately.
Where this sits today
Relladex is not open for signups yet, and the connector is not part of the free tier: reading a whole relationship record from outside the app needs a paid plan. What is settled is the shape. Your record stays yours, the assistant borrows it for the length of a question, and nothing it does can quietly change what you wrote.
